Mild Autumn in Cornwall leads to daffodils flowering at Eden Project

Eden Project officials have stated that due to our recent mild weather, daffodils at the top UK attraction have started to flower already.

This apparently is the earliest they have ever come to bud at the attraction and is due to our unusual autumn we have experienced in the UK this year.

The specific variety of Daffodil, the ‘Rijveld’ is expected to flower in January, so the early appearance came as shock to the attraction.

The chairman of horticulture, Don Murray stated that even though Cornwall is used to milder weather, the flowers have experienced weather condition recently that are more associated with spring time.

The Eden project is just a 40 minute drive from the Tencreek holiday park and is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Cornwall. Why not take a trip there when visiting our Cornwall caravan park next time.
