Paranormal Ghost Walks at Bodmin Jail
The retired grounds of Bodmin's jail have always been a particularly mysterious place, housing hundreds of the accused prisoners among its walls between the years of 1779 and 1924. Being strongly linked with stories of ghosts and the supernatural, a wing of the jail has been restored for a series of paranormal ghost walks; allowing the public to experience a deathly encounter with these spirits.
Currently in its sixth year, the evening tour will take you around the gloomy sections of the prison, exploring every corridor through the spooky mist in an attempt to interact with the ghostly presences. Tourists have described it as a truly terrifying experience, experiencing weird goings on and apparently a couple of uninvited visitors vaguely seen in a photos.
The Paranormal Ghost Walks at Bodmin Jail are held throughout the year, with the most recent one coming up on 11 February. If you happen to be staying in one of the many Cornwall caravan parks during the period, or want to book into some accommodation for another date; be sure to come along if you fancy a fright on your holiday. The question is, do you have the nerve?
