Popular du Maurier Festival set to return this spring
A festival rich in arts and literature is set to return to the Cornish town of Fowey this year, it has been confirmed.
The popular event will run from 9-20 May, providing enough support is raised by local businesses and visitors.
Last year’s festival was considered a resounding success, with music ranging from the likes of 80’s rock icon Shakin’ Stevens, the Ukelele Orchestra of Great Britain, which played to a sell out crowd, and Cornwall’s very own Fisherman Friends, who were famously signed by the same record label that own Lady Gaga
Other important figures were at the festival too, with speakers such as former politicians Ann Widdecombe and Alistair Campbell giving typically humorous, yet insightful thoughts whilst Academy award winner Sir Tim Rice discussed his amazing career.
With similar high calibre guests expected at this year’s festival, it could make the perfect addition to your caravan holidays, should you be in the region.
