‘Stride for Sight’ walk over Goss Moor announced

This year marks the 155th anniversary of the Cornwall Blind Association’s formation, and the milestone is being celebrated with a charity walk over the county’s beautiful Goss Moor. Aiming to repeat the success of the 2011 event, the ‘Stride for Sight’ starts at 10:30am on 24th March and will be hosted by two special guests.

Setting off from the Screech Owl Sanctuary, the walk will be launched by BBC Radio Cornwall presenter James Churchfield and led by Olympic gold medal-winning rower Ed Coode. Fortunately, due to Goss Moor’s flat terrain, the route is accessible even to wheelchair users; regardless of age or walking ability, the ‘Stride for Sight’ is open to all.

Registration and sponsorship forms for the walk are still available from the Cornwall Blind Association’s website, as is further information about this much-anticipated event.

So, if you are thinking of booking a getaway at a Cornwall caravan park this spring, why not combine it with taking part in this great charity walk?
