Cornish pasty competition announced
A competition designed to find the finest pasty makers in the world has been announced, with a separate section dedicated to the Cornish pasty section.
The first World Pasty Championships is set to take place at the Eden Project, which was recently given protected status by the European Union, on March 3 next year.
Only Cornish pasties made locally in a traditional manner can be entered into a separate competition, due to their European Union Protected Geographical Indication status.
The unmistakeable Cornish pasty has been a celebrated product from the Cornwall conveyor belt for years, with different theories on how to make the perfect delicacy banded around for equally as long.
It is part of the popular Cornish identity that many tourists and holiday makers look to explore during their vacation. Fancy a taste of the local delicacy, or even a family holiday to the region, why not book a place at a Cornwall holiday park?
