Cornwall preparing for Diamond Jubilee celebrations
This coming June, millions of people around the country will be looking into ways to celebrate Her Majesty's Diamond Jubilee in style. If you're lucky enough to be staying in one of Cornwall holiday parks during the period, numerous locations around the county are hosting their own celebrations which promise to be up with the best of them.
The Jubilee celebrations are to be held on the 3 June, commencing around the same time as the national Big Lunch, which last year saw almost two million people in attendance.
Having already been given confirmation through a letter from the Queen, the event offers a mini festival extravaganza; with a series of proceedings all designed to mark the momentous occasion.
Several key locations across the county have already earmarked plans for their Big Lunch, with the likes of Wadebridge, Truro and of course the Eden Project all preparing to mark the occurrence to royal approval. With more towns and cities set to announce plans in the coming weeks, it’s the perfect chance to celebrate this once in a lifetime event with your family.
