Camping in Cornwall
When it comes to enjoying a summer break in Cornwall, camping in Cornwall has to be one of the best ways to get the most out of the beautiful countryside. Tencreek Holiday Park, near Looe, is the perfect spot for this, with a wide selection of pitches available catering for just about any requirements.
The Tencreek site is one of the best-located campsites in Cornwall for seeing all that the county’s south coast has to offer. The nearby coastal walks, both into Looe itself and down to Polperro, really allow you to take in the views and see some of the region’s most spectacular scenery. Then there are the region’s beautiful beaches; Looe is the closest and often the busiest but there are also a number of other excellent choices nearby. If you want to wander inland and enjoy the countryside, the nearby Kilminorth Woods nature reserve is a great choice.
Looking further afield, Cornwall’s Eden project is just a half hour drive away and is always a popular choice for those camping in Cornwall. The Cornish towns of St Austell and Bodmin are also well worth a visit and you can even pop over the border into Devon as the city of Plymouth has a lot to offer, with its famous National Marine Aquarium and Plymouth Hoe making for a brilliant day out. If you choose to take a break at Tencreek, it’s also worth looking for events on in the region. The events calendar is busy all year round in Cornwall, with local highlights including the Fowey Festival, Looe Carnival Week, the Liskeard Agricultural Show, Mt Edgcumbe Classic & American Car Show and the Morval Vintage Steam Rally. You can find out more on our local attractions page.
That covers the reasons to visit the area, but what about Tencreek itself? Tencreek is an attractive choice for camping inCornwall, with its family friendly atmosphere and beautiful settings. The individually marked pitches are well drained and designed to offer a comfortable, level setting for your tent. Most of the pitches are accessed by either hard surface or tarmac roads and there’s street lighting installed along the roads for your safety and security. There are pitches to suit everyone and, if you’ve been before and had a pitch you like, we do our best to reserve it for you. There are small, medium and large pitches available and we even have pitches with electrical outlets should you need them.
