Why choose Cornwall
When it comes to enjoying a summer break in the UK, camping in Cornwall has to be one of the best ways to get the most out of the beautiful countryside. Our site, near Looe, is the perfect spot for this, with a wide selection of pitches available, catering for just about any requirements, not to mention it is one of the best campsites in Cornwall.
Our campsite and holiday park is one of the best-located Cornwall campsites for seeing all that the county’s south coast and South West England as a whole have to offer. The nearby coastal walks, both into Looe itself and down to Polperro, really allow you to take in the views and see some of the region’s most spectacular scenery.
The most beautiful beaches in the area are only minutes away. Looe is the closest and often the busiest, but there are also a number of other excellent choices nearby. If you want to wander inland and enjoy the countryside, the nearby Kilminorth Woods nature reserve is a great choice.
If you are a keen walker, then Cornwall is the perfect destination for you. The most famous walking trails in the county are along the South West coast path, which at 630 miles is the longest of England’s National Trails as it follows the coastline in Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, and Dorset. This is just another reason that makes Tencreek one of the best holiday parks in Cornwall!
Looking further afield, Cornwall’s Eden Project is just a half-hour drive away and is always a popular choice for those visiting Cornwall due to its natural beauty. The Cornish areas of St Austell and Bodmin and Bodmin Moor are also well worth a visit, and you can even pop over the border into Devon as the city of Plymouth has a lot to offer, with its famous National Marine Aquarium and Plymouth Hoe making for a brilliant day out. St Ives and the Minack Theatre can be found just over an hour away, as well as Port Isaac and Holywell Bay, which are situated on the north and south coasts.
If you choose to spend time with us at Tencreek, it’s also worth looking for events that are on in the region. The events calendar is busy all year round in Cornwall, with local highlights including the Fowey Festival, Looe Carnival Week, the Liskeard Agricultural Show, Mt Edgcumbe Classic & American Car Show and the Morval Vintage Steam Rally. You can find out more on our local attractions page.
