Walks from Tencreek Holiday Park
Walking on the main road into Looe is very dangerous. A much safer route is to turn right out of the park entrance, turn right again staying on the country lane, and then take the immediate left by the small triangle of grass signposted to the town centre. Keep on this lane downhill all the way to West Looe. The walk will take about 25 minutes.
When you get to the river turn left to go over the bridge into East Looe and the Beach or right to go up towards Hannafore (This becomes the coastal path to Polperro). Also look out for the passenger ferry across the river.
The Looe to Polperro Coastal Path
The path to the coast runs through the edge of the park. Turn left out of the reception, cross the touring and camping part of the park until you reach the line of tourers along the back hedge. Follow the hedge until you see the wooden gate, under the conifer tree. Two touring caravans before this building you will see a gate in the hedge. Through the gate and across a couple of fields you will meet the lane. Down hill from here you will arrive at Talland Bay and the coastal path.
The walk to here is approximately 25 minutes.
Once at Talland, Looe is to the East(allow 1 ½ hour) and Polperro to the West(allow 2 hours. These are beautiful walks along the Cornish coast with spectacular views.
Tencreek to Looe via Kilminorth Woods
This is the slow way to Looe but very pleasant all the same. Leave Tencreek Holiday Park by the main entrance turning left. Walk along the lane until you reach the main road. Cross the main road and continue up the lane and down, which will bring you to Kilminorth Woods (a nature reserve). Here you have the choice of walking through the woods to Looe(main car park) or continuing along the lane to Watergate. Watergate is situated on the river, so from here, you can walk downstream to Looe. Time would vary depending on the route, but allow 1 ½ hours.
